·            Responsible for the preparation of BOQs and WOs to execute the site activity.

·            Responsible for making all reports relevant to Rollout and maintenance and providing the same to management when required.

Ø         STC AS(Previously known as AWAL IT Services):                                                                                                                              (Current)

Currently I am working with STC AS as Technical Supervisor (FTTH GPON OSP/ISP) for STC KSA on FTTH GPON and FTTM 2G/3G & LTE (4G) project starting from 1^st September 2013 to till now.

Responsibilities:

·     Supervising the FTTH fiber installation/implementation and testing.

·     Installation fiber for upgrading GSM system from 3G to 4G new services.

·     QC for the Design As-builds submitted by STC different contractors.

·     Optimization of the existing FTTH OSP and FTTH ISP networks

·     Resolving the Design and Implementation issues with Regional

Implementation Project Managers for FTTH GPON projects.

·     Weekly progress report submission with detailed status of Project & Forecasts.

·     Responsible for handover, Pre-PAT & PAT.

 

Ø         NORCONSULT TELEMATICS:                                                                                                       (May 2012-Aug2013)

Responsibilities:

·            Supervise the Vendor and Contractor’ implementation activities for OSP/ISP works of the FTTx Broadband Network.

·            Acquire a full understanding of the project schedule and project deliverables for assigned area.

·            Identify potential blockages and work with the Vendor and Contractor to resolve.

·            Understand all relevant site requirements including DC Power, Distribution Frames (Copper and Optical), Floor space, Acceptance.

·            Assist with resolving site readiness issues

·            Escalate difficult blocking issues, which require management input to resolve and avoid delay. 

·            Verify the Vendor/Contractor is following agreed project processes for implementation of the ISP Network 

·            Prepare appropriate supervision progress and quality reports and ensure timely release of information.

·            Coordinate with Vendors/Contractors and concerned STC sections for field acceptance activities, attend meetings as required.

·            Perform all tasks and activities based on KPIs and performance levels communicated by the Project Manager.

Ø         LCC Middle East(Qatar):                                                                                                  (Feb 2011-Dec 2011)

Worked with LCC Middle East as a Senior Tech (OSP&ISP) on FTTX GPON Project Doha Qatar from 23rd February 2011 to December 2011. LCC, the largest independent wireless engineering company in the world is a recognized leader in providing wireless voice and data turnkey services to the telecommunications industry.

·                     Laying of optical fiber

·                     Testing of optical link.

·                     Splicing and termination of optical fiber.

·                     Provisional Acceptance Test (PAT) and Final Acceptance Test (FAT)

Ø         Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (ETISALAT):                                                              (June2008-Jan 2011)                            

Worked in EMIRATES TELECOMMUNICATION CORPORATION (Etisalat) U.A.E Project HO/RND P&M, (based in RAK) as a Senior Tech (FTTH GPON OSP&ISP)since 26th June 2008 to 20thJanuary 2011.

Responsibilities:

·     Coordinate with contractors for the deployment and installation of FTTH Network (GPON) and assign   tasks to project teams’ i.e.

·     Splicing, testing and termination of Ribbon fiber cable up to 1000 Fibers.

·     Preparation and Installation of Splitters at Different exchanges and Outdoor Fiber Cabinets.

·     Patching at Exchanges from OLT to Splitters and Splitters to ODF, and also patching in

Outdoor Fiber Cabinets.

·     Testing of GPON Network & GSM sites.

·     Testing accurate optical power from OLT to Splitters and Splitters to ODF.

·     Troubleshooting in FTTH network.

·     Installation & Termination of Fiber Optic Cables at various fiber distribution hubs.

·     Migration ONT.

·     Copper cable fault rectification both E side and D side and repair damage cables.

·     Handling Hazardous jobs for providing services to various customers.

·     Ability to use and read Schematic and Plant diagram for performing the given jobs.

Ø         Work Experience in Naya Tel (Pvt) Ltd.:                                                                       (Mar2005-Jun 2008)

Worked in FTTH project of Naya Tel (Pvt) Ltd in Islamabad as Assistant Engineering Supervisor (OSP&ISP) Fiber Optics Planning and Transmission Department) from 7th March 2005 to 15th June 2008.Naya Tel Pvt Ltd is the pioneer company of FTTH network introducing Fiber To The Home technology (FTTH GPON) first time in the region and here my duties are as under;

Responsibilities:

·     Physical Survey of Sectors:

For cabinets and NAPs location, for core and distribution cable route

·     Supervision:

Civil work, Duct lying, Cable pulling, OFC Jointing & Testing

·     Planning:

Core network route, Distribution network route, System and ODF installation, Link  budget calculation, Installation of HONT and WDM, Splicing in ODF and Joints (with cut and uncut procedure), Installation of WDM in co-locations.                                                                     

Testing of OFC by OTDR, Power Meter, Optical Talk Set and VFL, HONT installation at customer premises, Basic training of junior staff about fiber optics, Trouble shooting of FTTH network. 

 

 

 

Ø         Frontier Cable Industry Pakistan (A plant of optical fiber cable manufacturing)                            (2004-2005)

I have 1-year field experience of Jointing and Testing of Optical Fiber and working on different project in Frontier Cable Industry Pakistan. During This Job I have completed the following projects.

·    NTC project of fiber optics network from Kahuta Research Laboratory to SUPARCO and

from SUPARCO to Cant Exchange Rawalpindi.

·    PTCL Project of fiber optics network from Gujar Khan to Qazian, Mansehra to Dasu.
